DesignEd – designing educational innovations

Ever wonder how to design educational innovations? Could there be guidelines, principles or even a framework to help with the process?

A design-based process framework for generating educational innovations offers a chance for preparing educators of today and tomorrow to create educational change through innovation. This would help to develop the skills students will need in the 21st century to solve our major future challenges.

Based on the general idea of utilizing a design thinking process to generate better innovations, I want to focus in my research on the following problem: How can an educational innovation design process framework be designed to support a better generation of sustainable educational innovations?

LearnLab Mediendidaktik (LearnLab MD)

The LearnLab Media Didactics creates an innovative environment, where students can use real tasks to design prototypes for new learning environments with web 2.0 and social media. They produce video-based solutions and notes as eLearning consultants for real research projects and practical problems of schools.
